About the Show:

Rhythm Art presents Subrata Sen’s Solo Exhibition “Mystique Moments.” Sen is famed for his subject based paintings that highlight Indian beauty wherein he brings the canvas alive through his distinctive style of exhibiting women inspired by a Rajasthani backdrop. 15 unique paintings rightfully justify the talent and skill behind Sen’s insight to the women of Rural India.

Subrata Sen (1967) was born and raised in Kolkata and is a self taught artist. Art to him is a language of true emotions. Sen believes that Art has the divine power to take you to a different world, a world where there are no boundaries, no religion and no prejudices where everything seems to be in balance and in perfect harmony!  Subrata has learnt art through constant devotion and practice. He feels it is the best medium to discover ones inner self and strongly considers painting as his profession, life, love, passion, a way of relaxation and the reason of his existence. His forte is painting women in the backdrop of Rajasthan. He loves to paint the “Desert Beauty” as he is fascinated by the uniqueness and the culture of the land. His ‘Rajasthani ladies’ are divinely beautiful and rich both in details and colours. Subrata is also working on a Radha Krishna series that comes alive on canvas with a sense of joy and fulfilment. Subrata doesn’t believe in pain and sadness and hence through art he tries to add something in the world which will remain even after he is gone! Subrata is sure his paintings will appeal to the romantic instincts of the Art lovers.
