Our Story
Rhythm Art was set up under the banner ‘Painted Rhythm Art Gallery’ in 1987 and has since continued to promote and exhibit talented artists from all over India. With the intention of making ‘Art Affordable for Everybody’ and with the introduction of the new generation into the family business, the gallery chose to rebrand itself.
Keeping in mind the growing young collector base as well as continuing relationships with all earlier art buyers, in 2017, Rhythm Art was reborn with a vision to enrich artist’s careers by showcasing their artworks both at the local and international levels.
Buying art should be an experience and we understand that. Our aims to make this process as simple and fun as it can get. Through our knowledge and expertise we strive to guide our clients in the best way to find the perfect piece of art for their personal spaces. At Rhythm Art you will find unique paintings of both young and mid-career artists along with works of senior artists as well.
Our gallery is located on Linking Road, Khar (West), Mumbai wherein individuals, corporates and first time buyers are welcome to visit and enjoy the diverse collection of original paintings and sculptures. Our entire collection is also available online to view and browse from the comfort of your home. And for any online queries we are just a phone call away!
From time to time the gallery also hosts art exhibitions – both within and outside the gallery space. Through shows we try to promote our artists to a wider audience.

Mulchand Gala
One of the founders of the gallery, Mulchand Gala has spent a good part of his life in the business world. His passion for business and art led him to establish the gallery and make unique Indian art available for everyone. Since inception, he has been involved in growing the gallery in various capacities and actively continues to do so even today.
Bhavya Gala
Bhavya joined the business in 2014 and soon became a major driving force of the gallery. His passion for art and business can be gauged from the fact that almost all the aspects of the gallery from communicating with artists, sales, online promotions, exhibition planning, etc. are looked after by him. His educational background of Masters in Arts Management from Birkbeck College, University of London, UK and practical experience gained by working with various art galleries in UK and India, has helped him understand the art business and develop a passion for it. In 2016 he completed his Post-Graduate Research Diploma in Modern and Contemporary Indian Art and Curatorial Studies from the prestigious Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Mumbai. Along with running the physical gallery space in Mumbai, Bhavya is also focused on promoting Indian Art on the gallery's online platform.
Rutu Gala
With a strong aesthetic sense, Rutu looks after digital and social media marketing for Rhythm Art.
She has a sharp eye for detail and with that she actively contributes towards bringing in new artists on board into the Rhythm Art Family.
Juggling two roles, she is an Associate Actuary in the field of Actuarial Science. Using her personal expertise she promotes Indian art and artists through the gallery.
