Artist Prakash Ghadge reminds us of the reasons we love our nature
City of Gold in Black & White
Have you noticed the beauty of your own city? Your day-to-day busy work life might be keeping you away from going sightseeing around the highlights & attractions of your own city. Here is what you should not miss: The renowned Pen & Ink artist, Prakash Ghadge with the support of Rhythm Art is all set to showcase the hidden beauty of this nature from February 18th – 24th, 2014 at Nehru Center Art Gallery, Worli.
Ghadge aims to gather all small beauties of our own city and put down in his paintings. While talking about his exhibition, Prakash said “I am all excited to showcase my exhibition with a specific aim to let individuals know the beauty of their own city. I had traveled across the world, yet I always question myself, why do Indians plan their sightseeing outside India? As soon as I returned from my world art tour, I began drawing my own city. That’s when I decided I wanted to do a series on each city with its course of nature too.”
He further added “What gives my work its originality is my use of Rotring Pen, emphasis on light and shadows. First and foremost, nature is the inspection for my work. Drawing and sketching has always been a part of my life. Wherever I go, my camera or sketch book is always with me so that I can capture all sorts of subjects that I would like to sketch. I have also exhibited my favorite subject related to water (like Ghats, boats, reflections).”
In this series he added few Benaras Ghat drawings that help him capture the serene beauty on his canvas. Ghadge always wanted to share that emotion, which often exists for only a moment.
