Sachin Sagare is known for his art that takes you on a journey through the multifaceted world inhabited by women. Growing up in a rural setting, Sachin was inspired by the strong, hardworking women that he saw all around him. In 2002, he completed a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from the Dalvis Art Institute, Kohlapur, and in 2004, a Diploma in Applied Arts from the Abhinav Kala Mahavidhyalaya, Pune.
With the strong belief that women play a vital role in shaping the values and culture of a society, Sachin’s artworks pay homage to female figures he has been influenced and inspired by. His works are simple, honest renditions of the myriad expressions and yet unexpressed voices of women. Using delicate lines and vibrant hues, Sachin depicts rustic scenes of village life in his distinct, contemporary style. He often portrays women holding flowers in his artworks – a reflection of the romanticised relationship between women and flowers. The radiant women in Sachin’s artworks are enchanting with their subtle grace and beauty, draped in reds, yellows, oranges and deep blues.
